Lightweight EPS Panels – 98% lighter than traditional blocks, reducing dead load and easing handling.
Every part is precision-made to fit, and our system is designed to go in row-by-row, without complicated tools, extra layers, or unnecessary steps. Follow the approved drawing, work from the right starting point, and your floor will be in and ready in no time.
Once the floor is built to the correct coursing height and the DPC is in place, you’re ready to start. GDeck is installed from above with no insulation under the beams, so you can position beams as shown in your approved drawing before fitting panels.
Your drawing will show the exact size for the starter panel — usually cut from a full panel. Keep the off-cut; it can often be used as the end panel later.
Place each panel so the EPS rail sits securely on the beam and the silver infill rests on the beam shoulders. Work in rows as per your drawing — some may require a half panel, full panel, or cut panel for a perfect fit.
For multiple beam locations, fit the GDeck Multi Rail. It slots into the gap between beams, removing the need to screed between them.
For ‘cut rows,’ mark the required width and cut along the silver panel. The cut piece can often start the next row.
Cut neatly around any penetrations and seal gaps with polyurethane expanding foam. Remove excess foam for a clean finish.
Place concrete closure blocks at beam ends, mortared into place.
Before the concrete topping is poured, install the Psi Strip® thermal barrier along the perimeter wall to stop heat loss at junctions.
GDeck’s white rails make beam positions visible for quick photographic evidence and easy NHBC drainage inspections. Rails can be removed and replaced as needed.
