Material where it is needed

Gdeck is designed to place material exactly where it matters. Only the material between the beam header and the screed act to resist load. Run the FE modelling video to view where stress from load occurs.

All other material in the section serves only to provide a temporary working platform, a formwork for the screed and long term thermal performance for the floor.

The rail is a ultra high density, high stiffness component. A minimum of EPS 200. It identifies the beam below and lets the ground worker walk with confidence.

Long term only the density and therefore stiffness in this peak stress zone resists load.  If your floor design suggests material less than EPS 200, it can not carry the load a Gdeck floor can.  If you have built a floor with light weight material in this zone, perhaps the beam and the screed are closer than you think.

Why GDeck is the most profitable choice for your next project:

  • High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Maximum structural capacity with minimal physical strain on your installers.

  • Reduced Handling Time: Lightweight components mean faster movement across the site and quicker assembly.

  • Precision Engineering: Reduces onsite waste and eliminates the need for complex, time-consuming adjustments.

  • Built for Compliance: Meets and exceeds UK structural standards, ensuring your internal SOPs remain watertight.
